Terms of service

Who this is

Mixed by Kombat is Roberto Jimenez, an audio engineer based in Antioch, California. These terms cover mixing, mastering, recording, production and related audio services bought through mixedbykombat.com.

Quotes and payment

Every job starts with a written quote. Remote mixing and mastering are paid in full before work starts. Recording sessions take a 50 percent deposit to hold the time. Production under $300 is paid in full; $300 and over takes a 50 percent deposit with the balance due before delivery of final files. Payments are made by Zelle, Apple Cash, Venmo, PayPal or Cash App. A job is scheduled once the payment or deposit is confirmed.

Turnaround

Standard remote turnaround is quoted per job, usually 3 to 7 days from the day your files and payment are both in. Rush (48 hours) is plus 50 percent and depends on availability.

Revisions

Every remote mix or master includes 2 rounds of revisions within 14 days of delivery. Revisions are tweaks to the delivered mix, not new vocals, new arrangement or new stems. Extra rounds and new material are quoted separately.

Files

You send clean, named stems with no clipping and dry vocals, plus references and notes. You are responsible for backing up your own files. I keep project files for 90 days after delivery.

Refunds and cancellations

Remote work: a full refund if I have not started; once a first mix has been delivered, the payment is earned. Sessions: cancel 48 hours ahead for a full deposit refund; inside 48 hours the deposit is kept. No shows forfeit the deposit.

Rights and credit

You own your recording and your song. I keep the right to list the artist and song title as a credit and to use short excerpts to show my work, unless you ask me not to in writing before delivery.

Changes
